This is a rare four page advertising herald (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the Original Broadway production of the RICHARD RODGERS and LORENZ HART musical comedy "PAL JOEY" at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in New York City. (The production opened December 25th, 1940 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, moved to the Sam S. Shubert Theatre on September 1st, 1941 and closed April 18th, 1953 after 374 performances.) ..... This four page flyer measures 5 7/8" X 9" inches and includes production credits, the names of the leading actors and a wonderful photo of GENE KELLY surrounded by chorus girls on the front, seven production photos and excerpts from a number of reviews on the inside pages and seven production photos and promotional text on the backside ..... CONDITION: With the exception of the start of a split at the bottom seam and light creasing from normal handling, this rare flyer is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
