Real Photo Vintage POSTCARD United Air Lines Mainliner Douglas built Sky lounge. Backside never used. These Douglas-built transports, the most luxurious airliners in the U.S., weigh 12 tons, have a top speed of 212 m.p.h. and cruise 190 miles an hour using only 62 per cent power. Vintage Postcard Front side reads - (0n airplane, fence and possibly the box near lower right corner wheel)- United Air Lines. Backside never used. No postage stamp or writing. United Air Lines' Mainliner (please view photo) It reads: (Lower corner has the number 8) With a range of 1500 miles without refueling, these transports fly from coast to coast in 14 1/2 hours with only three stops. These Douglas-built transports, the most luxurious airliners in the U.S., weigh 12 tons, have a top speed of 212 m.p.h. and cruise 190 miles an hour using only 62 per cent power. Mainliner types: Sky-lounge, with 14 swivel chairs in a 21-passenger cabin: 21-passenger Club type; and Sleeper. (good typing practice for me, lol) :) Measuring approx.5 1/4" x 3 1/4" This is older. Exact age unknown to me. (possibly 1940's or 1950's?) No postmark date for me to verify. Condition - showing some normal age wear to corner/edge areas, a little discoloration, light scratches/few dings, corner top surface peels. peels. Please visit the provided pictures.
