T&V Limoges Hand Painted Seashells Seaweed & Water 8 5/8 Inch Plate Circa 1892-1907 Pretty porcelain plate. Nicely decorated with hand painted brown and ivory seashells, red and green seaweed, and blue water with a blue, yellow and pink sky. With gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse T & V Limoges France in green. This is an underglaze decorating mark used by Tressemann & Vogt in Limoges France between 1892 and 1907. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
