Description
231/352a Civil War token, copper, R-1. The obverse shows a wreath around the border, with cannons, flags, and a drum at the bottom. The front cannon is lettered with "UNION 61", and on the back cannon on "76" is visible. The reverse shows a closed wreath with a small shield at the top inside, with a branch on each side. The lettering inside the wreath shows "OUR COUNTRY". On the obverse, a lot of red luster is visible around all the design features. The reverse shows red luster around most of the wreath, and around the protected areas of the lettering. The other surfaces on both sides are medium to dark brown and do show a lot of their subdued luster.
