This is a rare single page advertising handbill (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the one-week, Pre-Broadway engagement of the SAXON KLING and ESTHER FORBES comedy "WHAT EVERY WOMAN WANTS" at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production opened January 27th, 1939 at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, played two performances on January 29th, 1939 at the Bushnell Auditorium in Hartford, Connecticut and opened January 30th, 1939 in Boston, where the show closed, cancelling the February 6th, 1939 Broadway opening.) ..... This single page, two-sided handbill measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" inches and includes a photo of the star and production credits on the front and a list of the cast members and promotional text on the backside ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light creasing, this rare flyer is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
