Fischer & Mieg Hand Colored Hunting Dog & Game Birds 9 5/8 Inch Plate Circa 1873-1891 Nice antique porcelain plate. Decorated with a hand colored scene of a hunting dog with a bird in his mouth, by the shore. With a border of maroon with gold gilding to the relief molded scrollwork along the edge. Marked on the reverse with a green crown and hammers. This mark was used by Fischer & Mieg (Pirkenhammer) between 1873 and 1918, but since it does not have a country of origin mark it was probably made prior to 1891. Also marked with the pattern number 4728 94. Has some wear to the gilding along the edge and a few scratches to the maroon border, but no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. IT
